Oh man, what good times.
Troll nightgown, puppy slippers, and terrible bangs. Who wouldn’t miss that?
My name is Cherie Jamison. I’m a mid-twenties dreamer/writer who has made a lot of life changes lately.
In September 2015, I left the comfort of the Central Virginia city I’d called home for more than half my life and moved to East Tennessee — with Dollywood practically in my backyard. I miss a lot about Virginia, especially my friends and my old roommate’s cats — even the mean one. Here’s the family tree I made for us back in the Pink Nightmare days:
Among my chief interests are cats, farm animals, Diet Coke, pizza, chocolate, and all things entertainment (with a focus on comedy and weird independent films). As you probably guessed from the blog title, I also love decades of the past and all the cool culture that they brought to the world.
Modern Yet Nostalgic is an updated version of what I used to do on Pink Nightmare.
Here you will find the typical posts of a lifestyle blogger — with a focus on nostalgia and entertainment. I’m a modern girl. I love the internet, social media, Netflix, and the fact that I can access “Saturday Night Live” clicks anywhere in the world that I can get 4G.
But I also love the music of the 1970s, the fashion of the 1980s, and the stupid slang of the 1990s.
So please kick off your metaphorical internet shoes and stay awhile. Here are some of my favorite posts to get you started:
Also, please enjoy some photos of me with farm animals:
